After the announcement of the updated browser Microsoft Edge based on Chromium in the network, it was believed that the Redmond Corporation copied Google Chrome, adding several proprietary features. But suddenly it turned out that Google itself borrowed some interesting developments of a competitor.
Chrome Canary (version 76.0.3793.0)
Google has released a test Canary assembly (version 76.0.3793.0) of the Chrome browser. Users who installed it noticed an extraordinary similarity of the interface with that in the new Microsoft Edge based on Chromium. So, the Chrome settings page is now represented by a fixed sidebar with sections on the left and corresponding settings for each item on the right. For comparison, in the current stable version of Chrome, all settings are made in the form of a single list in the center of the screen.
Those who want to try out the new Chrome interface can now download and install the latest Canary build from Google.
