  • Vivo has patented a smartphone with "ears"

It seems that manufacturers have started to compete in the creation of the strangest smartphone design. Following Xiaomi and Huawei, its unusual version of the fight against cutouts and "fringe" showed the company Vivo. Engineers of a Chinese firm has proposed to put the front camera in a kind of "ears".

The Vivo patent of May 14 this year describes two designs of frameless smartphones. In the first version, the company proposes to make two projections on the upper face and place each on the front camera. This solution looks very unusual.

The second design option is similar to what Huawei designers have proposed: to make the upper frame rounded and place the cameras, speaker and other elements in the widest place.

It is unlikely that companies will decide to release smartphones with a similar design. Now in Vogue retractable front camera — they can get rid of cut and do fully frameless screens.
