Over the past few months, Vivo periodically reminded of plans to release the third generation of the concept smartphone Apex 2020 5G. Finally, the manufacturer not only announced the date of the presentation of the new product but also published more details about the device.
Vivo Apex 2020 will be built on the Snapdragon 865 platform. Among the key features of the device is a "waterfall screen" with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, covering the side faces with a bend of 120 degrees. The fingerprint scanner, like the selfie camera module, will be installed under the screen, according to past leaks.
In addition, the company confirmed the presence of a 48-megapixel camera with the branded name Gimbal Camera. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that Vivo engineers managed to place a complex mechanism inside the module, which made the camera as compact as possible.
The smartphone will also have a continuous optical zoom, which will allow users to smoothly change the scale of the image of the object when shooting. According to the company, the camera will be able to provide an approximation in the range from 5x to 7.5 x.
The Apex 2020 5G presentation will take place on February 28.
