  • The head of Xiaomi revealed all the details of the Mi9 camera

    Xiaomi has decided to reveal the maps and tell all the details of the upcoming flagship before the official presentation. Founder and CEO Lei Jun has published in the Chinese social network Weibo specifications triple camera new Mi9 and shared a selection of photos taken on a smartphone in different modes.


    The main camera of Xiaomi Mi9 will consist of three modules:

    • 1/2-inch sensor Sony IMX586 with a resolution of 48 Megapixels, a lens with an aperture of f/1.75 and the six lenses, combining four pixels into one with a lack of lighting;
    • 12 MP with 1.0 µm pixel size, lens with f/2.2 aperture and six lenses, double optical zoom;
    • 16 megapixels with pixel size of 1.0 µm, a lens with an f/2.2 aperture and six lenses, angle of 117 degrees, the algorithms prevent distortion, the possibility of macro shooting from a distance of 4 cm.

    The main camera will be protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a stainless steel frame. The front-end with a single module for 20 MP will receive support for artificial intelligence to improve selfies.





    Another official teaser shows the difference in the size of the lower frame between last year's Mi8 and Mi9. In the new product, its thickness is only 3.6 mm-40% thinner than its predecessor.


    Xiaomi Mi9 will be presented next Wednesday, February 20. According to the head of the company, the smartphone will cost less than $590.
