After only three months after the presentation of the flagship smartphone Sony Xperia 1, the well-known high accuracy of the leak insider OnLeaks published a series of renderings of the second revision of the device. Despite the lack of official information about the development of the gadget, the images look very reliable.
The key design difference between the device and its predecessor was the "moving" of the triple camera module from the center of the back cover to its left edge. The device's display still does without cutouts and holes, but the top and bottom display frames are more symmetrical compared to the Xperia 1.
The renderings clearly show that the novelty will keep aspect ratio 21:9, but the real size of the device is unknown. According to the source, the Xperia 2 will get a 6.1-inch screen — for comparison, the XPERIA 1's diagonal is 6.5 inches. Judging by the images, the smartphone will not receive a 3.5 mm audio jack: owners will have to use an adapter or wireless headphones to listen to music.
Specifications and possible date of announcement of the gadget are unknown — given the relatively recent release of Sony Xperia 1, it is unlikely to expect the appearance of new items this year. Some sources suggest that the renderings show a device of a completely different line, although they recognize the similarity of the mysterious device with the previous model.
Sony did not provide information about the possible release of the Xperia 2.
