Without high-profile announcements, Samsung has published on its website the news about the release of the smartphone XCover 4s. The device has expanded the line of protected devices, having received an enhanced case and full protection against water. An interesting feature of the novelty is the removable battery, which is rarely seen in modern smartphones. Also, the device was equipped with an NFC module with support for contactless payments.
"At Samsung, we try to offer maximum opportunities for users, regardless of external conditions. XCover 4s is a perfect example of this: by combining Samsung's innovation with a robust form factor, even those who work or are in extreme environmental conditions can get the most out of their device," Samsung said.
Samsung XCover 4s is made in the traditional series design with textured surface of the back cover and ribbed edges on the sides, so that the smartphone does not slip out of your hands. The device is controlled via three mechanical buttons located under the 5-inch display with a classic 16:9 aspect ratio. The back cover is removed, allowing you to replace the battery if necessary, which is rare today. The housing is protected from water according to IP68 standard.
The main camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels and a lens with an aperture of f/1.7 supports the quick start feature by double tapping the Home button. The smartphone has an NFC module and offers the possibility of contactless payment for purchases through Samsung Pay.
