Detailed characteristics of the unannounced flagship Meizu 17 have been repeatedly published by insiders, but a new leak revealed one of the previously unknown details about the upcoming device. Information that appeared in the database of the AnTuTu benchmark hinted at a hardware "downgrade" of the lower configuration of the line.
According to the leak, the modification of the 8/128 GB smartphone with code number m2081 will be equipped with an LPDDR4X standard memory module, rather than LPDDR5, as previously assumed. Presumably, this will allow the vendor to reduce the cost of the model - Redmi with the younger version of K30 Pro has already adopted this practice. Other Meizu 17 configurations (8/256 GB and 12/256 GB) are rumored to receive a new type of RAM with higher bandwidth.
According to available information, the gadget will get a 6.5-inch display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 865 processor with a 5G x55 modem, as well as a built-in UFS 3.0 drive. The device is credited with a rear camera with a horizontal module and the main Samsung sensor at 64 MP. Other expected features of the device include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, a sub-screen fingerprint scanner, and a 4000 mAh battery with a fast-charging function (30 W).
The presentation of the Meizu 17 is expected on April 15, 2020, the price of the device is not disclosed by the manufacturer.
