  • iQOO-The First Gaming Smartphone with Snapdragon 855 and 12 GB of RAM

The company Vivo unveiled the first smartphone under its new sub-brand iQOO. The device of the same name is positioned as a game and is focused primarily on those who need a powerful filling. Therefore, it was equipped with a new flagship Snapdragon 855 processor and up to 12 GB of RAM. Also, the gadget got a triple main camera, a sub-screen fingerprint scanner, and fast charging support.

Almost 92% of the front side of the smartphone is occupied by a 6.41-inch OLED display with thin frames and a drop-shaped cutout for the front camera. Its resolution is Full HD+ (2340x1080 pixels). The screen has a built-in fingerprint scanner, but its technology (optical or ultrasonic) is not disclosed.

The new eight-core Snapdragon 855 processor is responsible for iQOO performance. Depending on the version, the amount of RAM is between 6 and 12 GB, and the built-in drive is 128 or 256 GB. To cool such a powerful filling, a system with an evaporation chamber and heat pipes is provided. Multi-Turbo service, which includes a whole set of technologies (AI Turbo, Center Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo and Game Turbo), increases the speed of application launch by 30%, frame rate by more than 70% and automatically switches between Wi-Fi and 4G depending on the stability and speed for a better gaming experience.

Especially for gamers, the manufacturer has equipped the device with two additional touch buttons located on the side. They can be used for shooting or other actions in games.

The smartphone is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery with support for proprietary fast charging technology with a capacity of 44 watts. Only 15 minutes of charging is enough to replenish 50% of the charge. For 30 minutes you can get 85%, and a full charge takes 45 minutes. At the same time, the most affordable version with 6 GB of RAM uses a slower charge of 22.5 watts.
