In the framework of the exhibition MWC 2019 in Barcelona, Huawei presented its first folding gadget called Mate X. the Device is equipped with a large folding screen in half so that the user gets a smartphone and tablet in one case. The novelty also received top-end hardware and support for fifth-generation networks with the maximum data transfer rate to date.

In the unfolded position, the Huawei Mate X is a small tablet with an 8-inch (2480x2200, 8:71) AMOLED display and thin frames. A separate front camera does not have a novelty — its function is performed by the main one in the folded state.
Huawei Mate X is built on the basis of the flagship processor Kirin 980 and is equipped with 8 GB of RAM. The capacity of the built-in drive is 256 GB with the ability to expand memory cards such as nanoSD. Inside there are two batteries with a total capacity of 4500 mAh with support for the world's fastest charging capacity of 55W in 30 minutes the smartphone will be recharged by 85%.
According to Huawei, Mate X became the first and the world's fastest folding smartphone with support for 5G. The maximum download speed reaches 4.6 GB/s. In theory, it is able to upload a video of size 1 GB in just 3 seconds. The combined slot allows you to install two nano SIM cards or one "SIM card" and a nanoSD memory card. It is worth noting that only one SIM will be able to work in the fifth generation networks.
For secure unlocking, Mate X has a fingerprint scanner located on the side and combined with a power button. Of the connectors provided USB Type-C on the bottom end.
Huawei Mate X will go on sale in the middle of this year at the price of €2299.
