Together with the HONOR 30S, a more affordable smartphone of the brand - Play 9A - was presented. It received a screen with thin frames, a dual camera and a high-capacity battery.
HONOR Play 9A is equipped with a 6.3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1600x720 pixels and a drop-shaped cutout for the front camera. The smartphone has an eight-core MediaTek Helio P35, and the amount of RAM is 4 GB. The 64 GB or 128 GB drive can be expanded with a microSD card, which has a separate slot in the tray with two SIM cards.
The main camera in the device is dual with 13 MP (f/1.8) and 2 MP (f/2.4) sensors. There is support for shooting in portrait mode with background blur. The 8-megapixel front camera is not only for selfies but also for face recognition while unlocking the device. In addition, the HONOR Play 9A has a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The 5000 mAh battery supports 10 W fast charging via a micro-USB connector. Additionally, the smartphone has a 3.5-mm audio output for headphones and support for FM-radio. The device is running Android 10 with a proprietary shell Magic UI.
HONOR Play 9A will be released on April 7 and will be available in two versions: 4 + 64 GB for $127 and 4 + 128 GB for $169.
