Released at the end of last year, the flagship smartphone HONOR Magic 2 suddenly received an updated version with the prefix 3D in the title. Externally, the device does not differ from the original, but in terms of technical characteristics, the manufacturer has corrected one important defect. In addition, the new product uses a more advanced cooling system based on graphene.
The original HONOR Magic 2 is equipped with a triple front-facing camera, where a 16-megapixel sensor is complemented by two modules of 2 MP for depth of field analysis. In Magic 2 3D, one of these two sensors has been replaced by an advanced 3D scanner with structured light technology. The advantage of this solution is more accurate and safe face recognition, as well as the ability to work regardless of lighting conditions.
The second important difference between Magic 2 3D and the original model was the use of a special tube based on graphene for better heat dissipation from the eight-core processor Kirin 980. As a result, the smartphone is able to provide high performance at maximum load.
In the rest, the new product is identical to ordinary Magic 2. The smartphone is available in a version with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory at a price of $865. While it is available only in China.
