  • Bendable smartphone Huawei Mate X has unveiled the day before the presentation

Rumors about the release of the bent Huawei smartphone began to appear on the network a few months ago, but even well-known insiders did not provide detailed information about the design of the future novelty. Today in the Chinese social network Weibo appeared the first official image of an unusual smartphone, showing its name and design features.

    Huawei Mate X

The company has already announced that it will announce the P30 flagship device as part of a separate presentation in March, but the bendable smartphone will be presented at MWC 2019 in Barcelona. Shortly before the opening of the exhibition, a photo of the advertising poster of the device appeared on the Internet, confirming this statement and revealing important information about the new product.

According to the text of the banner, the device will be called Huawei Mate X. Its main difference from the already announced Samsung Galaxy Fold was the design of the hinge: while the Korean gadget when bending "hides" the main display, Mate X folds the screen out, giving the user more workspace in smartphone mode. Previously, a similar approach was applied by Rouyu when creating FlexPai.

In addition to the image of the device, the banner has a text positioning the novelty as "the world's fastest folding phone 5G". Detailed specifications are not reported and will be announced later in the presentation.
