Nubia has announced the official price of the unusual alpha gadget, announced at the beginning of the year at MWC 2019. The device is a hybrid of smartwatch and smartphone. It is worn on the wrist and has a small flexible screen, but at the same time offers all the features of a conventional smartphone. The product, predictably, was not cheap.
Nubia Alpha will initially be sold in China, but later the device should appear in other regions of Asia, Europe, and North America. On the Chinese market will be offered exclusively version with an electronic SIM-card and the possibility of contactless payment for purchases. Other regions will get the option with Bluetooth only.
The model with eSIM support for China will cost about $520. The version in the case with inserts of 18-carat gold will cost buyers $150 more. The novelty will go on sale on April 10. The price and release date of the international Bluetooth version has not been announced yet.
Recall that Nubia Alpha is equipped with a flexible 4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 960x192 pixels, a processor for wearable devices Snapdragon Wear 2100, 1 GB of RAM, a drive for 8 GB and a battery capacity of 500 mAh. The gadget works under the control of alpha OS firmware.
