  • Xiaomi Mi Notebook Ruby: Laptop for Work and Entertainment

Pick up a laptop for every day for a reasonable price is not easy. I want to combine high-quality display, good autonomy and sufficient performance for everyday tasks, but these models are not cheap. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Ruby is equipped with an Intel processor of the eighth generation, a solid-state drive, the ability to upgrade RAM — and its price tag will not upset the buyer.

The laptop is equipped with a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and wide (176°) viewing angles. Under the "hood" is a mobile processor Intel Core i3-8130U with integrated graphics Intel UHD 620. The performance of this tandem is enough for most scenarios: working with text, web surfing and viewing multimedia files. If desired, you can run and undemanding games: if 4 GB is not enough, it is enough to add a second bar in the free slot DIMM.

The 4-cell battery provides up to 5 hours of video playback or about 6 hours of web browsing. A fingerprint scanner will help protect your documents from prying eyes, and a 128 GB SSD drive is provided for their storage. On one charge will work during the day or watch the series on a trip. If headphones are not at hand, help built-in stereo speakers with 3 watts.

The thickness of the device in the folded state is 19.9 mm, weight — a little more than 2 kilograms. Despite the relatively compact size, the fear of overheating is not necessary: the cooling system of the laptop consists of two fans that remove heat from the iron filling. Do not disappoint the owner and the number of peripheral connectors: at the ends of the body housed three USB Type-A, HDMI, Ethernet, 3.5 mm headphone jack and memory card slot.

Another new product of today's presentation of Xiaomi was the smart surveillance camera Mi Smart Camera PTZ and its Pro version. They support the function of a baby monitor and serve to ensure security.

      Xiaomi Mi Smart Camera PTZ
Xiaomi Mi Smart Camera PTZ is equipped with a 3-megapixel camera with an f/1.4 aperture, which improves the recording quality when there is a lack of light. Low-light shooting is supported, and the video is in color, not black and white, as in other models. One of the features of the new product is the support for recording in 2K resolution, which makes the image more detailed.
The camera lens rotates 360 degrees, which eliminates "blind" zones. There is also a function for detecting the person in the frame. If no one is at home, the user will receive a notification on their smartphone that suspicious movements are detected. The footage can be stored on a memory card, home server, or in the cloud.

Xiaomi Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro
The Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro model has a different design and advanced features. In particular, it supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz + 5GHz), and can also work as a Bluetooth hub to connect other gadgets in the home.
