Once common on the market, netbooks have lost popularity in the past few years - they have been replaced by ultrabooks and transformer laptops with a screen size of at least 13 inches. The Chinese company Magic Bem decided to "return to the roots" and introduced one of the most portable gadgets in the class - Mag1. Despite the “pocket” dimensions, the laptop received a productive hardware and is not inferior to larger models in solving everyday tasks.
The laptop is equipped with an 8.9-inch touch screen with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. The dimensions of Magic Bem Mag1 are only 20.7 x 14.6 x 1.8 centimeters, which is comparable to the size of a sheet of paper A5. The weight of the laptop is only 700 grams, while it is equipped with an impressive set of ports: USB Type-C, USB-A 3.0, a card reader for microSD, audio jack and micro-HDMI.
The new product is based on the Intel Core M3-8100Y processor with support for 16 GB of RAM. The capacity of the SSD-drive is 512 GB, and an additional M.2 connector on the motherboard allows you to expand the disk space. The laptop keyboard is backlit, and a fingerprint scanner is provided to unlock the device.
According to the manufacturer, the charge of the built-in battery with a capacity of 30 Ah is enough for battery life for seven hours. You can recharge Mag1 using the USB Type-C port with support for Power Delivery technology.
Magic Bem Mag1 is already on sale in China for $790.
