    TCL, which owns the BlackBerry, Alcatel, and Palm brands, has patented design options for smartphones with bendable displays and the original DragonHinge hinge, TheVerge reports.

    Judging by the renders previously published on the LetsGoDigital website, the Chinese vendor is developing two versions of the device at once. The first is actually a tablet, folding in the center of the display, the second is a kind of “clamshell”.

    According to the source, the release of new products will take place no earlier than next year, and their price will be more affordable compared to the solutions of other manufacturers. Presumably, the TCL foldable gadget line will be announced under the name Flextab.
