One Netbook will release a laptop based on Intel Ice Lake processor
The company One Netbook announced the work on a new generation of portable laptops based on modern 10-nm processors Intel Ice Lake tenth generation with a small heat package. Most likely, we are talking about models of the family Ice Lake-Y.
Other technical specifications of the future product are not reported. Laptops are expected to have a modern graphics system, a high-resolution display, and a preinstalled Windows 10. The release date remains unknown.
Xiaomi smartphones will have a dark theme and advanced energy-saving
Xiaomi plans to introduce several popular features into the MIUI proprietary shell, including advanced energy-saving to maximize the battery life of smartphones. In the MIUI 9.8.10 assembly, you can activate a mode in which the design of the desktop and applications becomes dark, the work of the programs in the background, vibration feedback, and some wireless modules are turned off.
In this case, the owner of the gadget will be able to use some applications, such as "Phone", "Contacts", "Messages" and WeChat. In this mode, a smartphone with 10% battery charge, according to network sources, will be able to work up to 1.5 days.
New Nokia Smartphone Named After Starlord
In mid-July, a Nokia smartphone codenamed Starlord was tested at Geekbench. Many considered this a reference to the name of the famous Marvel character - the Starlord, the protagonist of the recent Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers films.
Judging by the specifications, Nokia Starlord is a mid-range device. It runs on an eight-core processor with a clock frequency of 1.61 GHz and is equipped with 3 GB of RAM. In single-core mode, the device gains 1319 points in Geekbench, in multi-core - 4954 points. The announcement of the new items is expected at the Berlin exhibition IFA 2019.
Intel Tiger Lake-U will form the basis of gaming mini-PC
Before the start of winter, Intel, according to insiders, will introduce a gaming minicomputer called Ghost Canyon with a Core i9-9980HK processor and the ability to install a discrete graphics card. The desktop will last on the market for about a year and by the beginning of 2021, we are waiting for the debut of the new gaming mini-PC Phantom Canyon.
The computer is primarily interested in the 10-nm Intel Tiger Lake-U processor with a 28 W thermal package and support for the PCIe Gen 4 standard. In addition, the processor will receive an integrated Intel Gen 12 graphics card based on the Xe architecture. At the same time, it will be possible to install a discrete graphics card in Phantom Canyon, comparable with the current GTX 1660 Ti and RTX 2060. The cost of Ghost Canyon and Phantom Canyon was not disclosed.
