AMD has introduced an updated line of Radeon graphics cards based on the 7-nm graphics chip Navi 10. New products are built on the basis of the latest RDNA architecture and are designed to compete with NVIDIA RTX-series, offering comparable and even greater gaming performance at a more attractive price.
AMD Radeon RX XT 5700 is equipped with 8 GB of memory GDDR6 with a frequency of 14 GHz and a 256-bit bus. The graphics card was the first representative of the ruler Navi on the architecture of the RDNA. The graphics accelerator with a heat package of 255 W received 40 computational, 64 raster and 256 texture blocks, the number of stream processors of the model was 2560. The base frequency of the video core — 1605 MHz with the ability to accelerate to 1905 MHz. Claimed peak performance of the GPU with single precision teraflops of 9.75.
The basic version of the graphics card called AMD Radeon RX 5700 with a heat package of 180 W received similar XT-modifications 8 GB of video memory GDDR6, 256 texture and 64 bitmap blocks — the difference lies in the reduced number of computing units (36) and streaming processors (2304). GPU clock frequency was 1465 MHz, overclocking — 1725 MHz.
At the same time was presented and exclusive modification of the graphics adapter Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition in black and gold colors with factory overclocking (1680 MHz by default and up to 1980 MHz in boost mode). A "charged" graphics card provides 10.14 TFlops of processing power and is approximately 5-10% faster in practical use scenarios than a Radeon RX 5700 XT.
According to the documentation published by the vendor, the Navi 10 GPU is 14% faster and 23%more energy efficient at the same clock speed compared to the Vega 64. According to AMD, the Radeon RX 5700 XT at $ 449 will compete with the GeForce RTX 2070 and the Radeon RX 5700 for $379 will bypass the GeForce RTX 2060, offering 10% better graphics performance. The limited-edition version of the RX 5700 XT will cost $499.
The updated line of AMD Radeon graphics cards based on 7-nm Navi 10 graphics chips will go on sale on July 7.
