Xiaomi's sub-brand, Huami, has officially confirmed that it has started working on a new generation of mi Band 5 best-selling bracelets. Information was shared by the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Huami during the interview.
Asked by journalists whether Huami plans to continue to cooperate with Xiaomi, the head of the company Wang Huang said:
"In fact, we are now working on Mi Band 5 together with Xiaomi. As for the launch time, we do not have clearly defined deadlines. I can say with confidence that it will not take too much time. Thus, we not only managed to release Mi Band 4 but also can potentially present the fifth generation of fitness tracker by next year", — founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Huami Mr. Huang Wang.
Bracelet Mi Band 4 in just eight days from the start of sales sold 1 million copies. During the interview, the head of the brand noted that he is looking forward to the development of new generations of the gadget, as both companies are considering options for the performance of a fitness bracelet for different markets and categories of buyers. Mr. Huang Wang assured that long-term cooperation with Xiaomi remains in force.
