March 24 - 76 new cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in South Korea over the past day, the total number of cases reached 9,037, according to the Association of the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC).
According to the KCDC, of the 76 new cases, 31 are in Daegu City, one has been identified in North Gyeongsang Province, and four new cases have been reported in Seoul.
Nine people with COVID-19 died. The total number of fatalities was 120.
Citizens are strongly encouraged to stay at home. The government also restricts religious gatherings, indoor sporting events, and entertainment.
The day before, 64 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in South Korea.
In total, according to the estimates of Johns Hopkins University, more than 372 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were registered , more than 100 thousand were cured, more than 16 thousand died.
