  • The new version of Windows 10 will work faster on systems with HDD

Microsoft has started actively testing the May update of Windows 10 (version 2004). In addition to fixing various bugs, the developers have taken care of integrating the function, which will be especially useful for users of computers and laptops that do not have an SSD drive.

The new version of Windows 10 will work faster on systems with HDD

We are talking about the introduction of improved disk space indexing technology in the OS. This solution will reduce the load on the entire system - the process will start only when the user does not load the PC to the maximum, and the current performance is not critical.

The developers are confident that this solution will significantly increase the performance of Windows 10 on devices with HDD. At the same time, owners of solid-state drives will almost not notice the difference in performance due to the peculiarity of their work. The May version of Windows 10 is currently being tested as part of the Windows Insider program. The public update is scheduled for release next month.
