This year, Xiaomi was among the first to start updating its smartphones to Android 10. Owners of some models have already received an update, but most continue to wait. Thanks to the developers from the XDA portal, it became known that in the near future the “ten” will be released for at least six models.
Xiaomi plans became known after the company shared the source code of the Android 10 kernel for the following smartphones: Pocophone F1, Mi Mix 2S, Mi Mix 3, Mi8, Mi8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, and Mi8 Explorer Edition. In the past, the manufacturer promised to update these models in the fourth quarter of 2019. Some of them have already received MIUI 11, so Android 10 is likely to "fly" separately.
This news is also important because third-party developers can already begin to create custom firmware based on Android 10 for the above devices.
