Google has not yet been able to develop a social network that would be as successful as Facebook or LinkedIn for users, as it has been in the market of mobile operations and search engines. But the company did not give up and presented its third attempt in this area.
Back in 2011, Google tried to win an audience with similar functionality of the service Schemer. Three years later, the social network was closed. Now, digging tries to restart it.
A trial version of the Shoelace is at the stage of testing and is designed to help users to find people with the same interests for attending sports events, shows or going to the movies. The motto of the social network is "Find people with whom you have common interests." In Shoelace you can create a list of events in which you participate — with the ability to invite friends and other users. Additionally, there is a calendar of upcoming events.
At the moment, Shoelance mobile client is available for Android and iOS devices, but only for US residents.
