  • In China, coronavirus was detected in a man who flew to Shanghai through Moscow


    The new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) was detected in a passenger who flew from Iran to Shanghai through Moscow, the Chinese portal Sina reports on Wednesday.

    According to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Disease Control and Prevention Center, doctors revealed this case of infection in the city of Zhongwei in a man who arrived in Shanghai last week.

    It is noted that this man flew from Tehran on an Aeroflot SU513 flight to Moscow to Sheremetyevo Airport on February 19. During the flight, the passenger was in a special mask-respirator. Upon arrival in Moscow, he stayed in a capsule hotel, where he spent about 16 hours.

    On February 20, the man took flight SU206 from Moscow to Shanghai. In Shanghai, the passenger checked into the Yitel Trend Hotel. A few days later, he took a train to Lanzhou and then took another train to the city of Zhongwei.

    Chinese media do not name the citizenship of this patient. The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Disease Control and Prevention Center urges anyone who may have had contact with this passenger in public places or transport to contact medical institutions.
