  • Huawei has attracted 560,000 developers to develop alternatives to Google services

    At the White Nights gaming industry conference in St. Petersburg, Huawei spoke about the successes and achievements of its own AppGallery application store. According to the announced data, the company's services are used by more than 500 million people worldwide, and the number of developers creating software for Huawei has exceeded half a million.

    Today, more than 500 million people in 170 countries of the world use Huawei mobile services. In 2018, the monthly active audience reached 262 million, which is 117% more than in 2017. The share of young users (from 18 to 34 years) for the year increased by 8.3%. Applications offered in AppGallery and other content pass a four-level security check.

    For third-party developers, Huawei offers full adaptation and expert technical support, open access to an automated test lab and a system to optimize performance for the company's devices. In addition, Huawei regularly conducts marketing campaigns to help developers promote their products.

    In 2018, the number of application developers who registered on the Huawei platform grew by 60% and reached 560,000. And their share of revenue received through Huawei Mobile Services increased in 2018 by 100%.

    As reported, Huawei is actively developing its own app store AppGallery in case of failure of Android in favor of its operating system.
