In the context of the coronavirus pandemic, even gadget manufacturers have begun to develop non-core products, including protective masks. According to insiders, Huami, known as a manufacturer of wearable electronics, did not stay away. A leaked design of a concept accessory has revealed one of its main features, designed to make life easier for users of gadgets that require facial recognition to unlock.
According to available information, the new product will receive a transparent front panel, thanks to which the smartphone can be unlocked without exposing yourself to the risk of infection when removing the accessory. The mask will be made of a flexible and lightweight material, thanks to which it can easily adapt to any shape of the face.
According to the leak, Huami will introduce two modifications of masks - X and Y. The concept with the letter X includes a removable filter, and Y will additionally get a built-in UV emitter for sterilization with power via the USB Type-C port. Another feature of the product will be the ability to install additional filters and even a cooling element.
The accessory is also credited with having a sensor that analyzes the quality and humidity of the air, the user's breathing rate, and the level of filter contamination. The date of the announcement and the cost of Huami protective masks are still unknown.
