  • Google has tightened the rules for the publication of Android-applications

Google Play - the largest platform for the distribution of Android-applications. This is sometimes used by unscrupulous developers, distributing malicious software. The new policy of the Corporation is designed to significantly improve the security of content posted on the platform - albeit at the cost of publishers' dissatisfaction.

Google has tightened the rules for the publication of Android-applications

Changing the rules of the publication touched on all new apps submitted to Google Play. When submitting programs for publication in the developer dashboard, you receive the banner, stating that in consideration of the application will take more time. This measure is designed to ensure the safety of users and prevent the spread of malicious software through Google Play.

It is expected that the innovation will affect primarily new developers, but one of the members of the Android Developer team noted in the publication on Reddit that a variety of factors can affect the time of consideration. There is a case where a publisher with nine years of placement experience is constantly faced with long periods of checking their applications.

About the change in the policy of Google publications reported back in April. Now the company recommends considering at least a three-day delay when planning the release. If the application will presumably be heard longer in the developer dashboard will appear the estimated time of the assessment of the application.
