Reading web pages out loud will not be the only new feature that Assistant will learn this year. Google talked about other useful changes.

The Google Assistant will finally learn how to plan different actions for the future. This feature is useful for those who have smart home devices. It will be enough to say, for example, “Ok Google, turn on the coffee maker at 7 o’clock in the morning” or “Ok Google, turn on the TV in an hour.” Setting and pairing of such devices will be available through special applications from the manufacturer of particular equipment.

Google also said that it is very serious about the personal data of users. Therefore, with the new changes, the assistant will no longer save conversation recordings by default. To find out if this feature is active or not, you need to say, " Okay, Google, are you saving my audio data?"

It is not clear when these functions will be available to all users and in which languages they will work.
