Young startup bluFON Corp. introduced a device called filePod, designed to revolutionize the world of cloud technology. A small gadget that resembles an external drive and fits in your pocket, combines all the most popular cloud storage and collects all online files in one place.
filePod can work as a normal flash drive, but its main feature is to support cloud storage. The device is compatible with the most popular services such as Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, Microsoft One Drive, and Amazon Drive. With it, you can access all your online files anytime and from anywhere, even without an Internet connection. The drive supports both a wired USB connection and wireless Wi-Fi. Thanks to this gadget work with iOS, Android, Windows, Linux, and macOS.
The device synchronizes with the above cloud services, combining them and providing access to all of them with only one password. Through filePod, you can copy, open, edit, delete and move files between repositories. All changes are immediately saved in the "cloud" side. If you do not have access to the Internet during operation, any changes in the files will be automatically made after the network.
Filepod developers make a big bet on security. The device uses AES 256 encryption, and access to cloud storage is via HTTPS and a password. You can also delete all information from the drive remotely.
filePod is available on Kickstarter at a price of $95. The manufacturer offers several modifications with a different set of features.
