The Ministry of Health of Brussels has confirmed the third case of coronavirus infection in Belgium, Le Soir writes with reference to the press service of the department’s head Alain Maron.
This is a resident of Brussels, who recently returned from "one of the risk zones." He showed symptoms of an acute respiratory illness characteristic of COVID-19 infection, and the analysis gave a positive result. Now he feels generally well, the minister said. He is isolated at home.
Now the medical services are looking for anyone who recently came into contact with the patient. They will be warned about the need to measure temperature twice a day and report on their health status. If the temperature rises, they will be obliged to isolate themselves and contact the therapist.
A day earlier, officials confirmed the second case of infection in the country - in a Flemish man who visited the territory of France affected by the infection. In early February, a Belgian evacuated from Wuhan became ill. He's already been discharged.
