A reputable insider OnLeaks has published high-quality renderings of the future Google Pixel 4 XL. Earlier, Google itself has already shown the back side of the device, and now the device has been seen from all sides. The leak confirmed the concerns of many users.
As expected, the new product will be similar to the upcoming iPhone. A distinctive feature of both lines will be a square triple camera module in the upper left corner on the back side. And this is despite numerous statements by Google that they only need one camera, and the rest will cope with the software. According to reports, in Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL in addition to the main camera will be an additional telephoto lens for optical zoom and probably ToF-sensor for better depth of field analysis.
Most of the front panel of the Pixel 4 XL will take a 6.25-inch display without cutouts. But the device will get an impressive size of the upper frame with a dual front camera, speaker and a pair of additional sensors. It is assumed that they will perform a face scan, as implemented in the latest iPhone. By the way, the new Pixel will no longer have front stereo speakers, as in previous models — the second will be located on the lower edge, near the USB Type-C connector.
According to the insider, the dimensions of the Pixel 4 XL case will be 160.4 x 75.2 x 8.2 mm. In the main camera area, its thickness will reach 9.3 mm.
The presentation of Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL is traditionally expected in October this year.
