    Canon has announced the release of two new PowerShot G cameras. They are compact in size, feature high-speed continuous shooting and 4K video recording (no crop). The PowerShot G5 X Mark II received a new f/1.8–2.8 lens with five-fold zoom and a retractable electronic viewfinder, and the PowerShot G7 X Mark III is equipped with a f/1.8-2.8 zoom lens with 4.2 x zoom and has a 3.5 mm microphone jack.

    PowerShot G5 X Mark II and PowerShot G7 X Mark III with a weight of only 340 and 304 grams respectively equipped with a proprietary image processor Canon DIGIC 8. Thanks to a multi-layered 1-inch sensor with a resolution of 20.1 MP, both cameras provide high-quality images both in photos and when recording 4K video. The CR3 RAW format used in the new products is supported by Canon Digital Photo Professional and other common third-party programs.

    The PowerShot G5 X Mark II is equipped with a 5x zoom lens. This model can serve as an auxiliary for a professional photographer who needs sharp shots. Thanks to the bright aperture f / 1.8–2.8, it is also ideal for shooting in low light conditions. The PowerShot G7 X Mark III uses a f / 1.8–2.8 lens with 4.2x zoom, which allows you to shoot high-resolution video in any conditions.

    New products offer full control of all features both in automatic and manual mode. In terms of control and personalization capabilities, both models are close to digital SLR cameras. The control ring provides direct access to critical settings. The electronic viewfinder PowerShot G5 X Mark II with OLED screen covers 100% of the frame area. It helps to compose the frame, and the tilted touch screen display allows you to view the pictures taken at a comfortable angle. Through the touch screen PowerShot G7 X Mark III can build a composition and accurately focus when shooting himself in the photo and video.

    Both models have high AF accuracy and AF+MF function for additional manual focus adjustment. The built-in neutral filter helps to create rich images even in bright light.

    The cameras support continuous shooting at 20 frames per second. They also have a raw burst mode at 30 fps, allowing you to quickly capture spontaneous moments. Thanks to this, the PowerShot G5 X Mark II and PowerShot G7 X Mark III are suitable for travel and video bloggers who need a compact and lightweight camera.

    Built-in digital stabilization system allows you to shoot smooth video on the go. The HDR video feature minimizes loss of detail, and the extended dynamic range transmits a natural image. The frequency of up to 120 fps when working in Full HD helps to make the smooth slow-motion video, and the vertical shooting mode is suitable for materials published in social networks. When shooting rollers, you can use both automatic settings and manual control of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO sensitivity.

    With Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, you can send the content directly to your computer, phone, or social networks, and streaming to the PowerShot G7 X Mark III lets you stream online. When connected to a smartphone or tablet, cameras can automatically receive GPS coordinates, making it easier to tag on social networks later.  In addition, both devices are equipped with HDMI output for streaming and external recording when used in conjunction with external equipment.
