Nikon has released its flagship D6 digital SLR camera. A special feature of the new product is its versatility - it is suitable for shooting sports reports, as well as for high-quality portrait photography - as well as a powerful autofocus system consisting of 105 sensors. Its performance exceeds the system installed in the predecessor Nikon D5 by 60%.
In real-time, the Nikon D6 can transmit images to remote devices. In this case, the photographer does not need to spend time on additional settings or starting the process. The camera is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS module. Support for the 1000BASE-T network standard is also implemented, which provides a 15% increase in speed compared to its predecessor. The camera's 3.2-inch, the higher-resolution display provides improved readability and quick adjustment of settings.
A system of 105 cross-shaped sensors with AF sensitivity up to -4.5 EV at the center focus point and -4 EV at all other points. Group AF with additional user settings provides unprecedented accuracy when tracking. The improved scene recognition system is used for extremely accurate targeting. The model has an automatic AF zone selection function, as well as a 3D tracking mode.
Nikon D6 allows you to shoot in series up to 14 frames per second with autofocus and automatic exposure, or up to 10.5 frames per second using AE with tracking in silent shooting mode. Any lens equipped with the F mount is suitable for the camera.
A full-frame version with a resolution of 20.8 megapixels is used as a CMOS matrix. At the same time, the Nikon D6 is characterized by a wide range of sensitivity - from 100 to 102,400 ISO units, - expandable to ISO 3,280,000 or ISO 50. A feature of the new dual-slot memory cards that support XQD and CFexpress formats are the fastest cards available for today.
Among Nikon's new products, it is worth noting two lenses of the NIKKOR Z series: the ultra-wide-angle NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S and the zoom telephoto lens NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR.
The NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S refers to an S-type lens with an f/1.8 aperture. It is characterized by a constant focal length of 20 mm. At the same time, good sharpness over the entire field of the frame is achieved even at a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 m. Regardless of the shooting conditions, the low-dispersion ED glass and the Nano Crystal Coat anti-reflective nanocrystalline coating developed by Nikon eliminate the effect of image doubling and glare.
The NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR lens is a one-stop travel solution. With it, you can take photos and videos with good detail. This is one of the most compact NIKKOR Z zoom telephoto lenses available today. Thanks to the Z mount, a unique design is provided - larger lenses are located at the rear, which guarantees good balance and handling. This optical design provides a sharp image with vivid colors and deep contrast, regardless of the shooting mode.
