Especially for the CES 2020 exhibition, the Chinese manufacturer of action cameras, Insta360 has prepared a very unusual new product. The One R camera has an original modular design that allows you to change the lenses depending on the situation and shooting scenarios.
Insta360 One R essentially consists of three parts: the battery, the main module with the display and the lens. The key difference between the camera and its analogs is the ability to quickly change lenses. The manufacturer has already provided several options for optics: for panoramic 360-degree shooting with f/2.0 aperture, for the wide-angle shooting of dynamic videos in 4K resolution with f/2.8 aperture, and a lens for shooting wide-angle videos in a resolution of 5.3 K or 19-megapixel photos (f/3.2). The latest module was developed in collaboration with Leica specialists.
The maximum bitrate of the camera is 100 Mbit / s, and two types of codecs are used: H. 264 and H. 265 (depends on the lens). The camera also uses proprietary image stabilization technology FlowState 2.0. Color correction, HDR control, and shooting are carried out using artificial intelligence technologies.
The cost of the Insta360 One R depends on the lens supplied. For a wide-angle 4K version will have to pay $288. The model with 360-degree optics will cost $460, and for the ability to shoot 5.3 K-video will have to pay $504. The cost of individual modules has not been announced.
