At today's presentation, HUAWEI presented not only an updated line of MateBook laptops but also a smart speaker Sound X. The feature of the gadget was the high quality of sound, which was achieved with the participation of the French company Devialet.
When producing a smart accessory, the main emphasis was placed on the sound. The speaker is equipped with two 3.5-inch subwoofers with a capacity of 60 watts and six 1.5-inch emitters, the total power of which is 48 watts. According to the manufacturer, the Sound X is capable of playing music in the range of 40 Hz to 40,000 Hz. The development of the column was carried out jointly with the reputable French company Devialet, specializing in the production of Hi-Fi and Hi-End equipment. The maximum volume of the device is 93 dB.
For the smart component of the device is the quad-core MediaTek MT8518 processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz. The volume of RAM Sound X is 512 MB, the capacity of the built-in read-only memory is 8 GB. Implemented support for dual-band Wi-Fi networks 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC.
The gadget supports most multimedia systems, including Midea, Gree, TCL, Haier, Skyworth, Bosch, Siemens thanks to Huawei HiLink proprietary technology.
On the top of the column, which is made in the form of a regular cylinder, there is a control panel with led gradient illumination and control buttons. Sound X measures 203 millimeters in height and 165 millimeters in diameter and weighs 3.5 kilograms.
The cost of Sound X is $284. A pair of speakers to create a full stereo will cost $553. The start of sales is scheduled for December 5. Pre-orders will open on November 26. The availability of the stereo pair kit is expected by the end of the year.
