  • Google has patented a smartwatch with a camera in the display

Despite the expectations of users, Google has introduced a smartwatch, Pixel Watch along with the third revision of the corporate smartphone. But although the company has not announced the release of the gadget, the network has already received information about the development, which in the future will be able to compete with the solutions of other manufacturers of wearable electronics.

Google has patented a smartwatch with a camera in the display

Dutch portal LetsGoDigital published patent documentation, which describes the model of Google smartwatches codenamed Camera Watch. They are notable for their unusual design: the device received a camera built-in or embedded directly into the display. In the future, it will give users the opportunity to shoot or communicate via video communication without taking the smartphone out of pocket.

Although the document does not directly indicate the absence of a bezel, the watch will presumably receive a touch ring around the perimeter of the display as the primary control. This is hinted at by the absence of visible physical buttons on patent images. Technical characteristics of the gadget are not disclosed in the accompanying documentation.
