Chinese company Xiaopeng Automobile introduced a line of electric cars Xiaopeng P7. The distinctive features of the new line of models are an impressive power reserve on a single charge, an advanced automatic driving system based on the NVIDIA DRIVE Xavier chip and a more affordable price compared to popular American models.
The Xiaopeng P7 series includes three models and eight configurations of electric vehicles. The engine power of the basic rear-wheel-drive version is 196 kW, the maximum torque is 390 N * m, and up to 100 km/h the car accelerates in 6.7 seconds. The senior configuration with all-wheel drive has a maximum power of 316 kW and a torque of 655 N * m, and its acceleration time to "hundreds" - 4.3 seconds. The maximum range of electric cars on a single charge of built-in batteries - up to 550 kilometers.
All modifications are equipped with front independent suspension with double-wishbone, independent rear suspension and Brembo brake system, "frameless" doors and panoramic glass roofs. The kit also includes dual-zone climate control and a system for unlocking the car with a smartphone. The base model has a cruise control function, the mid-level version uses the XPILOT 2.5 automated driving system, and the top-end version uses the autopilot of the third revision. The onboard computer with the ability to update firmware over the air is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820a processor and NVIDIA DRIVE Xavier chip.
Xiaopeng P7 is positioned as a "youth" car. The price of new items starts at $34,000 - for comparison, the Tesla Model 3 in the Chinese market is more than $50,000. The range of electric cars is already available for pre-order on the manufacturer's website, the start of sales is scheduled for 2020.
