The American company Karma Automotive presented at the LA Auto Show 2019 the Karma SC2 hypercar with a 1,100 horsepower electric motor and a futuristic design. Outstanding dynamic characteristics have become a key feature of the new product: the sports coupe is gaining "a hundred" on the speedometer in less than two seconds.
The concept car is equipped with a sports braking system with carbon and ceramic elements, wishbone suspension and a gearbox with targeted torque distribution. According to the developers, it is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 1.9 seconds. Capacious battery 120 kWh provides electric car up to 560 kilometers without "refueling".
The new car is equipped with two doors with a lifting mechanism and glasses with transparency adjustment function. Fingerprint and face recognition technologies are used to access control. Driver assistance systems include lidar," long-range " radar and a set of cameras.
The electric car is also equipped with a Drive and Play monitoring system that stores information about braking, air temperature, light changes and even music played by the driver on the way. The recording can then be played back for trip analysis.
Karma SC2 produced in a single copy to demonstrate the open platform of the automaker, on the basis of which it is planned to develop new models of hypercars.
