  • Jaguar tested a new sports car on the Hot Wheels toy track

British automaker Jaguar has recently unveiled an updated model of the F-Type sports car with more powerful hardware content. To demonstrate its capabilities, a track was built together with Hot Wheels, along which a model traveled at a scale of 1:64. On a toy racing track, the speed of a tiny car reached a whopping 482 km/h.

As an advertising campaign, Jaguar, together with renowned toy car maker Hot Wheels, created a 232-meter track that reached the 1:64 scaled-down model of the new F-Type.

In some areas, the car managed to accelerate to 482 km/h. However, with the proviso that the speed was recalculated to the scale of a conventional car. The real speed of the F-Type reaches 300 km/h.

During the race, all the stages of creating a car are shown: from the layout on the designer's table to the selection of tires that will be installed in the new F-Type. The automaker demonstrates its strengths, ending the race with a meeting of the miniature model and the original. There is also a video that details the process of creating the track.

The updated F-Type model received a five-liter V8 engine. One of two versions is available for choice: with a capacity of 450 horsepower with a torque of 580 N·m and a “charged” F-Type R model with 575 horsepower and 700 N·m of torque.

The eight-speed Quickshift has become faster. The F-Type R comes with ceramic brakes, new suspension springs, and adaptive shock absorbers. Both models will receive the Quiet Start system, which allows you to turn on the engine without too much noise. The kit includes adaptive exhaust.

The interior of the car has undergone the greatest changes. The dashboard is fully electronic. The F-Type chip was a 12.3-inch display with support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and even Baidu CarLife with the possibility of wireless updates.
