OPPO was among the first to show a prototype smartphone lacking any physical buttons on the case. However, the company is exploring various options for form factors. For example, one of the patents of a Chinese manufacturer describes a smartphone with a plug-in physical QWERTY keyboard.
Smartphones with keyboards are not new, they existed 20 years ago. A striking example is the Nokia 9210. And although this type of typing still has fans, many have completely switched to on-screen typing. Therefore, OPPO has come up with a special case with a built-in QWERTY keyboard that can be used if necessary.
According to the presented image, the case will allow you to turn your smartphone into a small laptop. The built-in physical keyboard can be useful for typing or business correspondence.
There are no guarantees yet that OPPO will decide to make this idea a reality and release a similar case for one of its smartphones.
