After the announcement of the new iPad and Apple Watch Series 5, Apple introduced the iPhone 11 - the heir to last year's iPhone XR. The device is minimally different from its predecessor in appearance, but at the same time, important changes are still present in the smartphone.
The front of the iPhone 11 has no changes. Like last year's iPhone XR, it has a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina IPS display with a bang-out on top. All external differences are at the back - the new iPhone 11 received a dual main camera, placed in a protruding square module.
The main 12-megapixel camera with optical stabilization received a new sensor and lens with an f/1.8 aperture. In addition to it, the smartphone has a second 12-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens with a viewing angle of 120 degrees. Both modules support all functions, including extended dynamic range and 4K video recording at 60 fps.
The iPhone 11 also uses the improved HDR Smart mode, which analyzes even more data during shooting to avoid overexposures and dips in the shadows on the frame. An important innovation was the emergence of a special night shooting mode, which is automatically activated in low light. An example of its operation is shown below:
The core of the iPhone 11 is the new Apple A13 Bionic processor. According to the company, this is the most powerful mobile chip for smartphones. In terms of graphics, he leaves behind all competitors. Along with the increased performance, Apple also took care of the autonomy of the new product - the iPhone 11 works an hour longer than the iPhone XR.
Less significant innovations in the iPhone 11 include an improved audio system with Dolby Atmos surround sound support, a new 12-megapixel front camera with slow-motion video recording, Wi-Fi 6 support, and IP68 water and dust protection.
iPhone 11 will cost from $699 for the 64 GB version. The 128 GB version will cost $749, and with a 256 GB drive - $849. The smartphone will go on sale in Russia on September 20.
