In mid-October, Xiaomi began to distribute the latest MIUI 11 firmware. In addition to a number of changes affecting both the interface and the system operation algorithm, the company added many new features to its own shell. One of the expected innovations will be a regular equalizer, traces of which were found by the user of the Xiaomi forum while studying the next firmware.
In the “night” build code of MIUI 11 12/12/19, related to the MiSound application, one of the users found a mention of the equalizer. Later, the XDA developer engaged in the LineageOS firmware managed to activate this function, after which it published a series of screenshots demonstrating the functionality of the innovation.
Sound adjustment is provided on seven frequency bands. Moreover, in the equalizer, it became possible to set a limit on the maximum sound volume depending on the age of the user. In total, Xiaomi added three age groups: up to 30 years old, from 30 to 60 years old and over 60 years old. By activating this function, you can adjust the volume of each channel (left / right) separately, and then save the profile for further quick switching.
The equalizer also has built-in sound profiles for different types of headphones. Individual sound settings are set for each speaker's design. According to the assurance of developers who managed to test the capabilities of the MiSound application, the release of the equalizer function may be delayed due to the fact that it is not available by default even in the "night" build of MIUI 11.
