A little over a month ago, Porsche introduced two versions of the Porsche Taycan electric car, marking "the beginning of a new electric era for the company." For those drivers who are interested not only in technical specifications but also in the price of the car, the manufacturer introduced a more affordable Taycan 4S model cheaper than the flagship.
Technically, the Taycan 4S is slightly different from the Turbo and Turbo S versions. The new car is slightly lighter than its predecessors and inferior to them in maximum speed (no higher than 250 kilometers per hour), but it will cost customers a much lower amount for the version with a 79 battery, 2 kWh and a pair of electric motors with a total capacity of 320 kW. The option with a battery of 93.4 kWh and a power plant of 420 kW also available.
Both models accelerate to “hundreds” in 3.8 seconds. The manufacturer has not yet announced the range of new products on a single charge. For the Porsche Taycan Turbo, this figure is up to 450 km, and the Turbo S can cover up to 412 km. The start of sales of the "lite" electric car in the United States will begin in the spring of 2020.
