It is reported that the reduction in the price of the Redmi K30 is planned to be carried out by using the MediaTek processor instead of the more expensive chip from Qualcomm. MediaTek has already officially confirmed that by the beginning of 2020 it will release its own processor with support for fifth-generation networks. Redmi K30 was also seen in the database benchmark Geekbench, where it showed impressive results.
It is possible that the Redmi K30 will be built on a platform from MediaTek, while the Pro version will receive a processor from Qualcomm.
