Despite the slowdown in global smartphone shipments, realme was able to significantly increase sales of this category of devices. At the end of the third quarter, the Chinese manufacturer was in the top 10 most successful companies selling smartphones, and also became the fastest growing brand.
According to the Counterpoint report, between July and September, realme sales exceeded 10 million devices. This means that the company received an annual growth of 808%. Thus, in the third quarter of 2019, realme was able to take 7th place in sales among all smartphone manufacturers and became the fastest growing brand.
The first position in terms of supply is occupied by Samsung. The South Korean company is followed by HUAWEI, Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo. And in seventh place is realme, having sold 17 million smartphones in less than 2 years.
Currently, the brand is represented in more than 20 countries in Asia and Europe. The company plans to release 5G-smartphones on Qualcomm processors.
