At IFA 2019, Lenovo revealed the new Smart Tab family tablets. Both models, Lenovo Smart Tab M8 and Yoga Smart Tab are positioned not only as a portable device, but also a gadget with which you can expand the capabilities of the ecosystem of a smart home or use it as a desktop entertainment center.
The younger model Lenovo Smart Tab M8 is equipped with a modest hardware filling by the standards of 2019. The gadget operates on the basis of a quad-core processor MediaTek A22 Tab with a frequency of 2 GHz and is equipped with an 8-inch HD-display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels.
The device has 2 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of internal memory. The built-in battery capacity is 5000 mAh. A feature of the novelty is that it is equipped with a docking station, which acts as a stand and charger. Lenovo Smart Tab M8 can be used both as a regular Android tablet and as the center of a smart home with Google Assistant voice assistant support.
The more productive Yoga Smart Tab model received a 10-inch Full HD IPS display and a Snapdragon 439 processor. Two device configurations will enter the market: with 3/32 GB and 4/64 GB of memory. The capacity of the built-in battery is 7000 mAh. The gadget has large JBL speakers with support for Dolby Atmos technology.
The highlight of the model, like the entire Yoga tablet family, is the swivel bracket-stand. This allows you to hang the device on a wall or put it on a table to conveniently work with the gadget.
Lenovo Smart Tab M8 will go on sale in October at a recommended price of € 149. Yoga Smart Tab will reach the shelves by the end of September. The starting price of new items is € 299.
