The smart TV HONOR Vision announced last week received not only the latest HarmonyOS operating system but also a number of advanced technologies. An important role in the operation of the device is played by the built-in camera - it's vice president Xiong Junmin spoke in detail about its functionality.
The product with a linear sensor size of 1/2.7 inches and a pixel size of 2.24x2.24 microns allows you to make video calls with picture resolutions up to 1080p with low noise even in low light. The module is equipped with a retractable mechanism with an angle of inclination of 10 degrees - this allows you to hide the camera when not in use, and to ensure the correct viewing angle, regardless of whether the display is mounted on a stand or mounted on a wall.
HONOR Vision, according to a brand representative, uses artificial intelligence algorithms that not only provide high-quality video transmission but also give the device’s camera additional functions. According to the developer, the camera provides a high level of confidentiality: it works only with a few applications and does not save information after the communication session is completed. Additionally, a notification mechanism for module activation is provided: even in the dark, the user will recognize the change in camera position by the characteristic sound.
The HONOR Vision camera uses artificial intelligence algorithms - Huawei's proprietary technology, designed to work with H.264 and H.265 codecs, provides an increase in compression efficiency up to 30%. During a video call, the smart TV will automatically adjust the frame rate, bit rate, and image resolution according to the quality of the Internet connection.
The product was presented on August 10, on sale in China, HONOR Vision will arrive on August 15 at a price of $ 538.
