And although the smartphone has become one of the main gadgets in human life, many still can not give up traditional laptops. The reasons may be different: the specifics of the work, the use of specialized software, or simply the desire to play PC games. In this case, the light and compact laptop, for example, the HUAWEI MateBook D, would be the best choice, and special conditions apply to its purchase.

As a result of US sanctions, HUAWEI began actively developing an alternative to Google services. But the company strives to minimize dependence on Western solutions not only in the mobile segment but also in the field of personal computers. That is why it intends to abandon Windows 10 in favor of its own OS.

With the announcement of HarmonyOS, HUAWEI representatives said that this operating system will be a cross-platform solution and will be able to work on various devices, including smart watches, personal computers, and cars. Following its plan, this year the Chinese giant intends to start producing personal computers running HarmonyOS 2.0, abandoning Windows 10. In addition, instead of Intel and AMD processors, they will use Kunpeng chips of their own design.
According to insiders, so far it is only about the release of such devices in the Chinese market. HUAWEI will probably be using Windows 10 for other regions.

HUAWEI previously introduced the HarmonyOS operating system on smart TVs. As for smartphones, the company continues to install Android on them, but without Google’s mobile services, replacing them with its own alternative with the AppGallery app store.

HUAWEI has introduced a new line of Nova 7 smartphones. It includes three models at once: the basic nova 7, the more affordable nova 7 SE, and the advanced nova 7 Pro. All of them received the latest 5g Kirin processors, Quad cameras with high-resolution sensors, and capacious batteries with fast charging support.

HUAWEI nova 7 Pro has a curved 6.57-inch OLED display with a hole for a dual front camera and an integrated fingerprint scanner. The usual nova 7 is equipped with a 6.53-inch OLED screen, while the most affordable nova 7 SE has a 6.5-inch IPS matrix. The fingerprint scanner is built into the power button on the right side.
The nova 7 and nova 7 Pro are equipped with an eight-core Kirin 985 5G processor, and the SE version got a simpler solution - Kirin 820 5G. All three smartphones support fifth-generation networks, are equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 4000 mAh batteries with a fast-charging capacity of 40 watts. Unlike the other two models, the nova 7 SE lacks an NFC module.

HUAWEI announced the upcoming release of a stable version of the proprietary EMUI 10.1 shell, the "beta" of which has already been received by the flagships P40 and P40 Pro. The updated firmware, according to the company, will provide owners of branded devices with a number of useful functions and features.

The new version of EMUI will feature an alternative to Google Duo - a video call service under the brand name MeeTime. It will be available this year after the next update. According to the developers, thanks to support for Full HD resolution and facial recognition algorithms, the video quality will be good, even if the caller is in a poorly lit room.
Another useful innovation will be the HUAWEI Share feature, designed to quickly transfer files to other devices and share screens. For example, you can use your PC's microphone and camera for mobile video calls, or output audio from your smartphone to your computer's speakers.
The updated shell will get new themes and a "multi-device control panel", with which the smartphone owner will be able to use their gadget to access the functions of managing the smart home ecosystem. In addition, the firmware will include the voice assistant Celia — the brand's own alternative to the Google software solution.
The company promised to publish a roadmap for the release of EMUI 10.1 for various smartphone models in the near future.
