ASUS ROG Phone 2 on Snapdragon 855+ tested in the benchmark
Gaming smartphone ASUS ROG Phone 2 can become the most productive mobile device on the market thanks to the pumped chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+. A day ago, the unannounced device was tested in the popular Chinese benchmark Master Lu. Oddly enough, the gadget did not show itself from the best side. According to preliminary estimates, ROG Phone 2 shows performance at the level of this year's flagships but does not exceed them in tests.
ASUS ROG Phone 2 will get a 6.59-inch screen, 5800mah battery, and fast charging. The announcement will take place next week.

55-inch HONOR smart screen discovered in China
In China, the first proof of the existence of a 55-inch smart display from HONOR was found. According to the manufacturer's idea, HONOR Smart Screen should become a full-fledged home control center, taking over the functions of video and audio management, as well as displaying alerts and information requested by the user. HONOR Smart Screen will get 5G support, will be compatible with AR and VR solutions and strongly tied to the user's smartphone.
Apparently, China has already begun to supply the screen to retailers. There was photographed HONOR Smart Screen Pro, about the features of which so far nothing has been reported. The premiere of the line can be held next Tuesday.
A small company will compete with major players in the market of 5G chipsets
Unisoc is not the most famous name in the mobile processor market. We recently learned that they are working on supplying components for the upcoming HTC Wildfire, and now insiders are talking about the desire of Unisoc to release its own processor with support for 5G networks. Moreover, the company intends to launch them in the second half of 2019.
Unisoc introduced the 5G Makalu Platform and the Ivy 510 series modem to MWC in early 2019. Ivy 510 will be presented in consumer CPE and modular products, which are planned to be launched in China in the second half of 2019. Unisoc believes that CPE and modular products are the first to stimulate the growth of demand for 5G chips, and Ivy 510 is initially focused on the Chinese market.
Unisoc can become a major player in the market of budget 5G, as there are no competitors in this price range: MediaTek has yet to show itself, and Qualcomm invests only in the expensive segment. Even the cheapest 5G devices currently cost a lot, so any price reduction instantly makes the device attractive to buyers.
