TOP 5 GRAND THEFT AUTO GAMES

Recommended Posts

The GTA series has been around for over twenty years, spanning four generations of consoles and fifteen games. These criminal epics have left countless hours of memories over the years, but some parts stand out from the rest. Here are my top 5 GTA games to date.

TOP 5 GRAND THEFT AUTO GAMES

5. GTA IV

GTA IV redesigned the series for a new, more powerful generation of consoles. This transition from an excessive sandbox to a grand crime epic was not smooth and was marked by fans as an unsuccessful series. This criticism is not entirely unfounded; the movement was slower, driving was like sailing in a boat, and there were almost no pretty characters in the whole game. All this can make it harder to enjoy.

This is a sad fate for a really impressive game with the thinnest story of all GTA games to date. With access to more powerful equipment, Rockstar managed to completely rebuild Liberty City, turning it into a full-fledged metropolis; much closer to modern New York than it was implemented in GTA 3. As I mentioned above, the history of GTA IV is arguably the best in the series. No protagonist before Nico could be considered a redeemable figure; Nico was more complicated.

In many ways, GTA IV has been a victim of the success of Rockstar Games. After the release of GTA: San Andreas, the expectation of what will happen next was high. Fans expected the next game to surpass San Andreas in every way, but it is not. What they did is an outstanding tale of loss, revenge, and the empty promise of the American dream; Whatever the case, GTA IV deserves to be remembered.

4. GTA IV: THE BALLAD OF GAY TONY

Despite my love of GTA IV, it began, remained and ended as a rather gloomy analysis of modern crime. Fortunately, Rockstar has changed this in one of two extensions to the game’s history. The Ballad Of Gay Tony acts as the perfect match for the stiffness of his older brother. Unlike the streets with the criminal past that Nico walked on, TBGT introduced us to the splendor and glamor of Liberty City.

Although mechanically identical to GTA IV, the tone is completely different. The protagonists run the gamut from neurotic nightclubs to culturally insensitive Arab billionaires. With wacky characters, even wacky missions come; One highlight is the main character (Louis), who steals a tank from a train during a helicopter flight. On a completely subjective note, music is also improving, adding more tunes from the 80s and 70s added to radio stations, including a new station called Vice City FM; Winking at old fans.

TBOGT also added many additional activities, such as ski jumping, club management and underground. GTA IV was strangely devoid of secondary content, so these add-ons help plunge into the world of high society. Extending the story is not known for its outstanding experience, so TBOGT is a real pleasure. For these reasons, he manages to get around GTA IV and take fourth place.

3. GTA V

GTA V is the best-selling entertainment product ever created; it is not a hyperbole, it is a fact. Having achieved such success, you may wonder why he took only third place in this list? GTA V is an infernal game with outstanding characters, a gorgeous open world filled with content. The story spans three characters united through their need for money. All three have their own intentions, whether personal ambition, comfortable retirement, or simply a complete psychopathic need to destroy.

There is no doubt about the success of GTA V, but there are some serious flaws. The story is good, but forgotten; The gameplay is functional, but not revolutionary. The same can be said about the parameters of the radio station, which, apparently, were relegated to the background with a fantastically instrumental score. Online Gameplay is literally microtransactions in the form of credit cards. A recent update also added a fully functioning casino, which requires players to use real money to buy counterfeit money and then gamble!

GTA V is a great game, and you will play it, but there are obvious disadvantages. I hope that Rockstar Games will make the necessary content for the next part of the games.

2. GTA: VICE CITY

It does not have the most intense story missions or the largest open world, but each element of the game forms, perhaps, not the best, but certainly the most memorable game in the series.

The protagonist of Tommy Vercceti personifies the franchise and its spirit of "success by any means." The city itself used the classic gangster movie “Scarface”, and the music flawlessly took time. Vice City, on the other hand, also has the best conversational radio station.

Not everyone is commendable, though. Shooting improved compared to GTA 3. Character models are so old that you can see the geometric shapes used to create them. Random dropouts are endemic, and hand-to-hand combat is too simple. Regardless of these issues, GTA: Vice City deserves second place on this competitive list.

1. GTA: SAN ANDREAS

It was not easy for me to choose between Vice City and San Andreas for first place, but GTA: San Andreas really deserves to be first. This game remains legendary and is also the best-selling game on the PS2. She has not only the most interesting story but also the cutest main character (Carl Johnson), the most memorable characters and a really disgusting villain.

The voice level is still unsurpassed in any GTA. Just like Vice City, GTA: San Andreas manages to capture a turbulent moment in the history of the United States, in particular, Los Angeles in 1992. The game highlights the culture of the early nineties, from music to more controversial topics such as gang war, the crack epidemic, and riots in Los Angeles.

GTA: San Andreas represents the pinnacle of what can be achieved on the equipment of the time, and secured Rockstar's reputation for expanding the boundaries of the open world for single-player games. In the history of video games, there is a small list of games that every gamer should play; GTA: San Andreas is definitely on this list.
